Bruno lives in our small, cage-free, home-based rescue in Bulgaria, where our dogs live alongside us rather than spending their days in kennels or a large rescue compound.

This means Bruno experiences normal everyday home life — household noises, visitors, other dogs, mealtimes, playtimes and plenty of human company.

There are cuddles, play, good food, veterinary care, security and love.

Most importantly, because our dogs actually live with us, we have the opportunity to get to know their personalities properly before matching them with their future families.

One of the questions people understandably ask when considering adopting a dog from Bulgaria is:

“How can I really know what he's like?”

Bruno is a happy, friendly and affectionate young boy who enjoys human company and gets along well with the other dogs around him.

He has a lovely nature and is a super little character who has grown into a very handsome young dog.

At his age, Bruno still has plenty to learn and experience. His new family will need to continue his training, including lead walking, recall, boundaries and helping him experience his new world positively.

Our philosophy is simple:

The Home Bruno Needs

Bruno needs a loving, committed home where he will be included as a genuine member of the family.

He will need appropriate exercise and stimulation, continued positive training and people who understand that adopting a rescue dog is a long-term commitment.

Another dog isn't essential simply because Bruno currently lives happily with other dogs.

Working? Retired? Children? Other pets? Living in a suitable flat?

None of those things automatically produces a YES or a NO.
